Appointments

What should I expect at my first appointment?

You may park anywhere in the Business Centre. The Clinic, Unit 1B, is located in the front of the Business Centre facing Stroudley Road.

Once in the Clinic, take a seat in the waiting area. The Physiotherapist will greet you at your appointment time and show you into the treatment room.

Toilet facilities are located at the back of the building. Directions can be found in the waiting area.

The Physiotherapist will start by taking some details about you before discussing the history and nature of your problem. A physical examination of the area will follow before discussing the diagnosis and treatment plan.

You may then be provided with treatment, exercises and advice to help your problem.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

You may choose to bring a chaperone, friend or partner with you to you session. This is entirely up to you.

If you are using an insurance policy please have the details of your policy and the pre authorisation code with you.

If you are a self funding client please ensure that you have the correct method of payment with you (refer to section methods of payment)

You may like to make a list of any questions that you would like to ask about your problem.

What should I wear?

It may be necessary to look at the area to be treated at skin level.

Please bring with you a pair of shorts and/or a vest top dependent on the area being treated. If you are at all concerned about what to wear please discuss it with the Physiotherapist when booking the appointment.

Every effort will be taken to protect client’s privacy, dignity and modesty during assessment and treatment. If at any time during your appointment you feel uncomfortable please inform the treating physiotherapist. Consent will be taken before every procedure.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, please feel free to bring your partner, friend or suitable chaperone with you to the appointment. Well behaved children are welcome to attend with parents.

How many appointments will I need?

It is not possible to give an exact number of appointments. The Clinic is happy to offer a variety of treatment options to help plan your treatment efficiently and cost effectively.

Options range from assessment and advice only sessions to planned treatment programmes to suit all needs and budgets. Please discuss your requirements when booking.

Are there any female Physiotherapists?

The lead Clinician is Mark Randall. It may be possible to arrange a consultation and treatment with a female physiotherapist if required. Please ask about this option when booking.

What if I can’t attend my appointment?

The clinic operates a 24 hour cancelation policy. If you fail to attend for an appointment or you do not provide 24 hours notice of a cancelation, you may be charged the full amount for the appointment.

Is there disabled access?

The Clinic is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

There is allocated disabled parking. Alternatively you may park or drop off directly outside the clinic entrance. Please discus your requirements when booking.

Disabled toilet facilities are located next to the male and female toilets at the rear of the building. Please see the directions in the clinic waiting area.

Parking

There is ample free parking in the Business Centre. Please park considerately within the marked bays.

Methods of payment/Private medical insurance

Appointment costs can be discussed when booking or making an enquiry. The Clinic does not have credit or debit card facilities. Please pay for treatments by either cash or cheque.

The Clinic is registered with all private medical insurance companies. Please call the Clinic or you insurance provider for more details. Some insurance companies may require you to see you GP prior to booking an appointment.

If you are using a private medical insurance policy please make sure that you have you have all of your policy details with you at you first appointment. Clients are responsible for checking their level of insurance cover and are liable for any accounts which are not settled in full by the insurance provider.
